John Winthrop Facilities

John Winthrop’s classrooms are exceptionally well equipped with objects and materials for manipulation, exploration, and construction. There are two outdoor play areas with direct access from the classroom. The school also uses the Clarendon Street Playground, a public playground just one block away. Other favorite spots for outdoor play include the beautiful and historic Boston Public Garden, Boston Common Frog Pond play area, and the Commonwealth Avenue Mall.
