Parent Coffee with Madelin Cerullo: “Social Emotional Learning in Early Childhood”

March 29, 2018 @ 8:15 am - 9:15 am

Madelin
has eight years of experience working with children and their families.  She has spent the majority of her career at Chelsea Public Schools where she was responsible for providing mental health coordination and counseling within the school setting.  More recently, Madelin has started to work at an independent school in Back Bay, building staff and family knowledge around Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and consulting around how to support students with emotional concerns to ensure their access to curriculum.
Madelin is also clinically trained in the Social Thinking Methodology, focusing around social competence specific to perspective taking, executive functioning, self-regulation, and social self-awareness. She also sees clients privately in the Greater Boston Area using many approaches to therapy with focus on primarily a skill based approach. She works with children, adolescents, and families primarily. Madelin graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2005 with a Bachelors in Psychology and Child Development.  She has a Masters of Education specializing in counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, 2011.

Following the presentation, there will be time for questions and discuss. Learning about the development of young children, and discussing your child’s growth with other parents can be enlightening and supportive, so we encourage you to attend! Hope you to see you there!
